BENUE ASSEMBLY LIFTS SUSPENSION ON SEVEN MEMBERS.

The Benue State House of Assembly has reinstated seven members who were suspended in February 2025.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Terver Zamber, the legislators expressed remorse, appealed for their recall, and pledged to conduct themselves responsibly.

During the plenary, the letter requesting their reinstatement was read by Majority Leader Saater Tiseer. Members, including Bemdoo Ipusu and Elias Audu, supported the motion, citing the lawmakers’ renewed commitment to good conduct.

The House also commended Speaker Hyacinth Dajoh and the leadership for their magnanimity in resolving the matter.

This brings the total number of reinstated lawmakers to thirteen, as six others were recalled last month.

END.
