INNOSON CHAIRMAN COMMENDS UMAHI ON ROAD PROJECTS, PLANS MAJOR CNG VEHICLE FACTORY EXPANSION

The Federal Ministry of Works says collaboration between government and local manufacturers is key to Nigeria’s infrastructure and industrial development.

This follows a visit by the Chairman of Innoson Group, Innocent Chukwuma, to the Minister of Works, David Umahi, at the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja.

During the visit, Chukwuma commended the minister for what he described as remarkable progress in road construction and rehabilitation across the country, noting that improved road networks are boosting connectivity and economic activities nationwide.

He also appreciated President Bola Tinubu for appointing Umahi as Works Minister, saying the choice is already yielding visible results.

On industrial growth, the Innoson chairman announced plans to expand his company’s operations with a new Compressed Natural Gas and electric vehicle factory expected to create about two thousand new jobs.

He disclosed that the facility, described as one of the largest CNG vehicle plants, will have the capacity to produce thousands of vehicles annually and will include a technical training programme for Nigerian youths.

Responding, Minister Umahi praised Innoson Group for its commitment to local manufacturing and job creation, describing Chief Chukwuma as a patriotic Nigerian contributing to national development.

Both men expressed optimism that stronger collaboration between government and indigenous industries will support infrastructure delivery, economic growth and youth empowerment in line with the federal government’s development agenda.
