AGRICULTURE MINISTER KYARI MOURNS FORMER PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI.

Nigeria’s Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, has expressed profound grief over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.

In a condolence message issued on Monday, Senator Kyari described the late former President as a disciplined, principled, and patriotic leader who left behind an enduring legacy of service to the nation.

He extended his sympathies to President Bola Tinubu, the family of the late President, the government and people of Katsina State, and Nigerians at large over what he described as a great national loss.

Senator Kyari recalled Buhari’s decades-long commitment to Nigeria’s growth and stability from his stint as Head of State in 1983 to his two-term democratic presidency beginning in 2015. He noted that the former President’s administration initiated critical reforms aimed at fostering national development, public accountability, and integrity in governance.

The Minister offered prayers for the peaceful repose of Buhari’s soul, asking Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannah Firdaus.
