CEO NILAYO SPORTS YETUNDE OLOPADE GETS INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION AS ONE OF AFRICA’S INFLUENTIAL SPORTS WOMEN.

 

The global impact of Nilayo Sports management Company Limited has further been boosted with the recognition of its Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Yetunde Olopade, as one of the honorees of Africa’s most influential 50 Women in Sports.

She joined other inspiring African women in the 2025 class of the most influential women of the Africa Sports Ventures Group (ASVG) who are inspiring the Girl Child and African women.

Yetunde Olopade is a woman who is shaping the future of road races on the continent through organising some of the biggest marathons in Nigeria including the internationally celebrated Access bank Lagos city marathon.

Her entrepreneurship and boardroom skills have continued to expand the impact of her organisation, Nilayo Sports Management company limited, in both sports business and the ecosystem of road racing in Africa.

She currently heads unarguably Nigeria’s biggest Sports management company, making giants stride in expanding the influence of road racing across the length and breath of Nigeria.

Her company is also behind the upcoming Premium Trust bank Abuja City Half Marathon scheduled to hold on the 6th of December 2025.

The Africa Sports Ventures Group (ASVG) has announced that the award ceremony will be held in Dakar, Senegal in 2026 to celebrate the 50 most influential African women in sports for their inspiration and promotion of women participation in Sports.

Other top African sports women on the award list include the President of the International Olympics Committee, Kirsty Coventry, former FIFA Secretary General, Fatima Samoura, the Minister of Sports in Sierra Leone, Augusta Teima and legendary Nigerian Olympian Amb. Mary Onyali just to mention but a few.
