GOV ALIA DISMISSES DEFECTION RUMORS, REAFFIRMS LOYALTY TO APC.

The Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia has strongly refuted reports alleging that he is planning to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the claims as baseless and the product of irresponsible journalism.

The rebuttal, issued in a press statement released earlier today, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Tersoo Kula, described the report as false and misleading. He said the Governor remains a committed member of the APC and has no intention of leaving the party.

Kula also highlighted Governor Alia’s active involvement in party activities, including his participation in the recent endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the sole APC presidential candidate for 2027. He added that there is no crisis within the APC in Benue, stressing that the Governor and the party leadership enjoy a strong and cooperative relationship.

The statement urged members of the public to disregard what it called fake news and rely only on credible sources of information.

Governor Alia, according to the release, will continue to deliver good governance to the people of Benue State under the APC platform.
