The Ladies’ Golf Association of Nigeria has congratulated its Matron, Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, on her appointment as Commission Chief Executive of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, describing the move as a major win for professionalism and women’s leadership in Nigeria’s energy sector.
The Trustees, National Executives and members of the Ladies’ Golf Association of Nigeria say Eyesan’s appointment is a well-deserved recognition of her decades of expertise and outstanding service in the oil and gas industry.
With over 33 years of experience at the NNPC Limited, Mrs Eyesan is regarded as one of the most technically grounded leaders to head the NUPRC, bringing deep knowledge as a petroleum economist and industry strategist.
The association commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what it described as a strategic and forward-looking decision, noting that the appointment reflects a strong commitment to merit, competence and the inclusion of qualified women in key national positions.
Eyesan is credited with playing a critical role as Group General Manager, NNPC Corporate Planning and Strategy, where she contributed significantly to the technical and commercial development of the Petroleum Industry Act, a reform that reshaped Nigeria’s energy landscape.
