NAICOM, FINTECH ASSOCIATION PARTNER TO DRIVE INSURANCE DIGITALIZATION

In a move to accelerate the digital transformation of Nigeria’s insurance sector, the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has entered into collaboration with the FinTech Association of Nigeria.

At a meeting in Abuja, the Commissioner for Insurance, Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, and President of the Africa FinTech Network, Segun Aina, explored strategies for integrating technology to modernize insurance operations, improve transparency, and rebuild public trust.

Omosehin underscored the Commission’s resolve to ensure widespread adoption of digital solutions across the insurance industry, stressing that technology-driven innovation is key to protecting policyholders and expanding insurance penetration.

On its part, the FinTech Association pledged support for NAICOM’s modernization agenda, assuring that collaboration and strategic partnerships will play a central role in reshaping the insurance landscape.

Both parties agreed on the importance of sustained engagement to achieve the Commission’s goals under the current administration.
