The Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority and 20 other federal agencies have agreed to join the Federal Government’s Revenue Optimisation and Assurance Platform, aimed at strengthening transparency in public financial management.
The initiative also includes the adoption of the Federal Treasury e-Receipt system as part of efforts to improve accountability and reduce financial leakages across government agencies.
NEPZA Managing Director, Olufemi Ogunyemi, confirmed the development after a meeting in Abuja between the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, and chief executives of the affected agencies.
The platform, approved by the Federal Executive Council, is designed to provide real-time monitoring of government revenues and expenditures and curb financial irregularities.
Authorities say 31 agencies are already active on the system, while 21 more are expected to be onboarded as the rollout expands nationwide.

Officials say the broader goal is to achieve full compliance across all ministries, departments and agencies before the end of the year.
The Minister, through the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Muhammed Sanusi, urged agency heads to fully adopt the platform to strengthen due process and financial accountability.
NEPZA says it is already aligning its operations with the system, describing the initiative as a key step in supporting the government’s broader transparency and reform agenda.
