NIGERIA DOMINATES VALUEJET LAGOS WORLD PARA TABLE TENNIS FUTURE 2025.

Nigeria has asserted its dominance on the international stage, emerging as the overall winner at the ValueJet Lagos World Para Table Tennis Future 2025, which concluded in a blaze of colour and competition at the Molade Okoya-Thomas Indoor Sports Hall, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

Over the course of four days, Nigeria’s para table tennis athletes delivered outstanding performances, clinching 23 gold, 23 silver, and 42 bronze medals, outperforming regional rivals across multiple classification categories.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, President of the Paralympic Committee of Nigeria, Sunday Odebode, praised the successful hosting of the tournament, describing it as a reflection of the National Sports Commission’s strategic push towards a thriving sports economy.

He also extended gratitude to the Lagos State Government for its collaborative role in bringing the tournament to life.

The championship, which also served as a regional qualifier for the upcoming Para Games in September, featured teams from Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Burkina Faso, Benin Republic, and Cameroon all of whom competed with determination and flair.

With Nigeria’s commanding performance, hopes are high for a strong outing at the Para Games later in the year.
