SON MSC DEPARTMENT EARNS PRESTIGIOUS INTERNATIONAL ACCREDITATION FROM IAS

In a testament to its dedication to quality and best practices, the Standards Organisation of Nigeria’s (SON) Management Systems Certification (MSC) department has been granted Accreditation by the International Accreditation Service (IAS) for four globally recognized Management System Standards:
• Quality Management System (QMS) ISO 9001:2015
• Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) ISO 45001:2018
• Environmental Management System (EMS) ISO 14001:2015
• Food Safety Management System (FSMS) ISO 22000:2018
This is contained in a statement released by the Standard Organization of Nigeria in Abuja.
The remarkable accomplishment follows a rigorous assessment process conducted by IAS, verifying that the SON MSC department’s operations and audits which are conducted by SON auditors, comprehensively meet the stringent requirements of these international standards.
The accreditation signifies the department’s unwavering commitment to:
• Delivering exceptional quality in all its services.
• Upholding the highest standards in occupational health and safety.
• Minimizing environmental impact through responsible practices.
• Ensuring food safety and quality across the supply chain.
• Adhering to industry-leading benchmarks in the aerospace, defense, and transportation sectors.
Engr Obiageli P. Egbuciem, Ag. Director, SON MSC department declared that this accreditation is a badge of honor for the SON MSC department and a global recognition to SON.
She further stated that “this accreditation not only recognizes the efforts of the SON MSC department but also underscores the proficiency and expertise of SON auditors, whose meticulous evaluations played a significant role in achieving this milestone.
Their dedication to upholding industry standards and conducting thorough audits has been instrumental in ensuring the department’s adherence to best practices.”
