SDP BANISHES EL-RUFAI FOR THIRTY YEARS.

The Social Democratic Party SDP, has rejected and banished Mallam Nasir El-Rufai from membership of the party for 30 years.

This is contained in a statement on Monday by the SDP National Publicity Secretary Araba Rufus Aiyenigba, which said the decision came after the National Working Committee of SDP deliberated on the membership status of the former Kaduna state governor who has been parading himself as a member of the SDP.

According to the statement Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has been promoting activities of other parties and also failed to register as an SDP member as required by the law.

The statement further accused the former FCT Minister of persecuting the SDP as an opposition party during his tenure as Kaduna State governor.

The SDP National Working Committee therefore said the foregoing actions by Mallam Nasir El-Rufai amongst others have necessitated banishing him from the party.

It called on INEC and members of the public to take note of the non-membership status and non-eligibility of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai for SDP membership effective until 2055.
