DANGOTE GROUP LEADS KANO 2025 TRADE FAIR , 1,000+ EXHIBITORS EXPECTED, NEW SUGAR PACKS TO BE UNVEILED

The Dangote Group is set to take centre stage at the 2025 Kano International Trade Fair, rolling out major investments, new products, and SME-focused initiatives as the event prepares to welcome more than 1,000 exhibitors from within and outside Nigeria.

The fair, scheduled for November 22 to December 6, 2025, will once again feature Dangote as a key sponsor and strategic partner.

In a statement, the Group Chief Branding and Communication Officer, Anthony Chiejina, said the company’s strong presence at the fair reflects its commitment to deepening commerce in Kano—one of Africa’s oldest and most vibrant trading hubs.

Chiejina noted that Kano continues to play a critical role in the company’s operations, including hosting one of its major rice milling plants. Additional mills under development in Jigawa, Zamfara, Niger, Kebbi, and Sokoto will bring Dangote’s combined production capacity to 1.5 million tonnes annually—an intervention he said aligns with national efforts to strengthen food security.

He stated that Dangote subsidiaries will operate dedicated help desks throughout the fair, offering visitors and entrepreneurs opportunities to explore partnerships and business enquiries.
The company will also unveil its new 100-gram and 25-kilogram sugar pack sizes on its Special Day at the fair.

Chiejina added that the fair’s 2025 theme, Empowering SMEs for Sustainable Growth, aligns strongly with the Group’s broader vision for sustainable national development.

Also speaking, the Senior Adviser on Special Projects & Strategic Relations to the Group President, Fatima Wali-Abdurrahman, said Dangote’s sponsorship aims to create real opportunities for micro, small, and medium enterprises to expand their market reach and strengthen Nigeria’s economic base.

President of the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KACCIMA), Ambassador Hassan Usman Darma, confirmed that the fair will host over 100 organisations and more than 1,000 exhibitors, boosted by major upgrades and expanded facilities at the venue.
He described Dangote as a longstanding and valued sponsor, noting that this year’s collaboration will focus on SME development, backward integration, and industrial skills transfer.
