Nigeria’s push for economic transformation through local manufacturing takes centre stage in Kaduna as Dangote Industries Limited partners the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, KADCCIMA, to drive the local content agenda at the 47th Kaduna International Trade Fair.
The fair, expected to attract over 10,000 participants, will be officially declared open on February 6, 2026, by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Dangote Group is the headline sponsor of the fair, themed: “From Reforms to Results: Economic Transformation through Sustained Local Content Development.”
Speaking to journalists in Kaduna, President of KADCCIMA, Farouk Suleiman, described the relationship with Dangote Group as a strategic partnership anchored on industrial growth, local content development and long-term economic transformation.
According to him, the Chamber views Dangote Group not merely as a sponsor, but as a critical development partner with a consistent belief in the economic potential of Northern Nigeria.
Suleiman said the 2026 Trade Fair is deliberately structured as an economic catalyst, with strong focus on Business-to-Business and Business-to-Government matchmaking, local manufacturing, value addition, SME financing, investment facilitation, market access and strategic partnerships.
He added that import substitution through local production, promotion of Made-in-Nigeria goods and stronger private sector-led growth will also dominate discussions at the fair.
Describing Dangote Group as a cornerstone of Nigeria’s industrial journey, the KADCCIMA President urged the conglomerate to continue leading as a mentor, investor and catalyst for small and medium-scale businesses.
On her part, the Regional Director and Senior Special Adviser to the President of Dangote Group, Fatima Wali-Abdurrahman, said the company’s sponsorship goes beyond branding, reflecting its firm belief in local content development as a driver of national growth.
She noted that Dangote Group’s investments across cement, sugar, agriculture, petrochemicals, fertiliser and petroleum refining have created jobs, boosted local capacity and strengthened government revenue through taxation.
A statement by the Group Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, said Dangote Industries Limited and its subsidiaries will headline the trade fair with a wide range of products and innovations aimed at deepening customer engagement and expanding market reach.
The statement disclosed that Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar, NASCON Allied Industries, Dangote-Sinotruk, Dangote Peugeot Automobile and Dangote Fertiliser will all participate, each setting up dedicated helpdesks at the Dangote Pavilion to engage customers and prospective distributors.
NASCON, according to the statement, will showcase its full range of salt, seasoning and stew mix products in consumer-friendly packaging, while Dangote Sugar Refinery will present its complete product portfolio with its sales and marketing team on ground.
Dangote Cement will also operate a dedicated customer desk throughout the fair, while prospective distributors will receive firsthand guidance on distributorship requirements and procedures across Dangote Group subsidiaries.
