As Nigeria joins in celebrating this significant milestone, we reaffirm our shared commitment to peace, good governance, mutual respect and the enduring bonds of African brotherhood.
Nigeria and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau enjoy longstanding and friendly relations, strengthened by cooperation in trade and investment, security, cultural exchange and regional peacekeeping efforts. Both countries also work closely within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), the African Union (AU) and the United Nations, advancing collective security, economic growth, and sustainable development across the continent.
On this special occasion, therefore, Nigeria reiterates its readiness to deepen these valued ties, explore new areas of mutual benefit, and continue working with the Republic of Guinea-Bissau to address regional and global challenges.
