Members of National Trade Facilitation Committee has pledged their commitment to improve trade facilitation in Nigeria.
In a strategic meeting at the Nigerian customs Headquarters in Abuja , the chairman of the committee Suleiman Audu says the visit is to collaboration in developing and
implementing policies that will ease the clearance, rapid release of goods for import and exports, especially for compliant traders
The Chairman National trade facilitation committee expressed readiness to play critical roles towards achieving the core mandates of the Nigeria Customs Service, adding that “it is important that the collaborate to enhance trade facilitation in Nigeria.”
Speaking on World Trade Policies, Audu briefed the Ag. CGC that the committee has drafted a trade facilitation roadmap document, which according to him, will help guide the implementation of the policies.
The Ag. Comptroller General of customs assured the entourage of Customs’ total commitment and support, adding that the service will embarke on consultations with stakeholders as partnering is part of the service my priorities.
The Committee membership lspread across organizations such as Customs, NAFDAC, Police, NDLEA, Ministry of Transport, FIRS, SON, CBN, NNPC, NASEMA, NACCIMA, amongst others.
