ENYIMBA SETTLES FOR DRAW AGAINST INSURANCE IN SUPER SIX PLAY-OFF

 

Match-Day Three of the NPL Super Six playoffs sees Enyimba settling for a one all draw against Bendel Insurance. Despite Enyimba taking the lead via a Sadiq Abubakar’s goal in the 23rd minute, Bendel Insurance player Divine Nwachukwu struck back the equalizer 14 minutes later at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.

Following the draw against Bendel Insurance, Enyimba assistant coach Olanrewaju Daniel  has come out to admit the coaching crew of Enyimba, led by former Super Eagles winger Finidi George are under pressure to succeed as the best is expected of them to not fall short of people’s expectations.

Speaking also, Enyimba Head Coach, Finidi George, has lashed out at the officials for poor officiating.

Chijioke Mbaoma was brought down on two occasions without the referee blowing a foul, and further ignoring calls for a penalty.

Sharing the spoils with current champion Rivers United, Enyimba remain at the top of the log in five points after three games. The Aba based club will take on Saturday Sunshine Stars of Akure in their next game come Friday.

Meanwhile, Bendel Insurance have now gone 21 games unbeaten.
