NPHCDA, PARTNERS CELEBRATE OUTGOING CEO’s REMARKABLE TENURE
The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), and its partners gathered Thursday in Abuja to celebrate the exceptional tenure of Dr. Faisal Shuaib, who served as the Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer (ED/CEO) from 2017 to 2023.

During the celebration, the Special Adviser to the President on Health, Dr. Salma-Anas Ibrahim, delivered a moving testimony, commending Dr. Faisal for his dedication and significant contributions to healthcare in Nigeria.
Dr. Salma highlighted Dr. Faisal’s unwavering commitment to addressing health challenges, especially during crises, and his hands-on approach to delivering vaccines to vulnerable communities.
The valedictory party brought together serving and retired directors, as well as members of the agency, who shared heartfelt testimonials about Dr. Shuaib’s impactful leadership.
A representative of serving Directors in the Agency, Dr. Abdulahi Garba praised Dr. Faisal’s accomplishments, emphasizing his digital initiatives and initiatives that positively impacted staff, including salary augmentations and annual palliatives.
In his emotional farewell address, Dr. Faisal Shuaib redirected the focus from himself to the dedicated staff and partners at NPHCDA, attributing the agency’s achievements to their collective efforts.
He acknowledged the sacrifices of his family and expressed appreciation for the support from colleagues, friends, mentors, and stakeholders who played pivotal roles throughout his career.
“The celebration included the cutting of a cake, presentation of awards, and heartfelt testimonies from individuals spanning various sectors.”
The event served as a testament to the positive relationships forged during Dr. Shuaib’s tenure and their lasting impact on the nation’s healthcare landscape.
