NAF NEUTRALISES OVER 35 TERRORISTS IN NORTH-EAST OPERATION.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says its air component of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) has neutralised more than 35 terrorists near the Nigeria–Cameroon border.

The operation, conducted in the early hours of August 23, 2025, followed an attempted attack on ground troops at Kumshe. According to the NAF, intelligence from multiple sources revealed that the insurgents had converged in four assembly areas close to the border.

“Precision strikes were executed in successive passes, effectively engaging and neutralising over 35 fighters,” the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said in a statement.

He added that communication was later re-established with ground forces, who confirmed that the situation around their location had stabilised.

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, commended the professionalism of the aircrew, stressing that the NAF would sustain aggressive, intelligence-driven operations to disrupt terrorist movements and logistics across the North-East border regions.

Ejodame noted that the latest success highlights the Air Force’s commitment to supporting ground troops and degrading terrorist elements threatening the country’s sovereignty.
